Supply Chain Manager (Nampa/Oregon) Full-Time Days

We are seeking to hire a Manager of Supply Chain to oversee operations for our Nampa, Ontario and Baker City locations.

If selected, you will be responsible for inventory, distribution, receiving, and replenishment strategies for all functions within the healthcare settings. You will facilitate local value analysis activities, develop recommendations and implement strategies related to product standardization and utilization for the region.

You will also support capital equipment planning, specification development and coordinate with Trinity Health Supply Chain Management capital sourcing initiatives. We expect that you support Saint Alphonsus and Trinity Health Supply Chain Management leadership in efforts to coordinate the supply chain management function throughout Trinity Health. This includes but is not limited to product standardization, practice standardization, contract compliance, 2 bin Kan-ban installation and health, management of new product introduction, management of vendor representatives, and compliance to policy/procedures.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Accounting, Finance, (or related field) Master's degree in Business and/or clinical credentials preferred
  • Must have 5 to 7 years of supply chain experience, of which, at least 2 years must have involved management/supervisory duties
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of industry-associated purchasing, supply management, accounts payable and financial analysis
  • LEAN, Six-Sigma, Certified Project Management and Change Management experience preferred
  • Must be able to identify, embrace and lead change within the medical center at all levels
  • Must demonstrate analytical ability and possess a comprehensive knowledge of basic data analysis and communication tools including Excel, and Word
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to travel on a regular basis to the various Trinity Health meetings as needed as well as to the Nampa, Ontario and Baker City facilities
  • Must maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Corporate Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision in behaviors, practices, policies and decisions
  • Operations: Directs activities related to product standardization, stock keeping unit (SKU) reductions, contract compliance, maximizes 2 bin Kan-ban health. Manages operations and supplies to achieve high level of performance measured by Trinity Health Key Performance Metrics (KPI's.)
  • Capital Equipment: Coordinates all capital equipment implementation activity for the Ministry Organizations, including collaboration with Facilities Management, TIS, THCE and other service-line stakeholders in advance of purchase commitments. Secures budgetary quotes from respective vendors (in collaboration with the Regional Director, and Capital Equipment Management Team)
  • Construction and Equipment Planning: Must be able to provide logistics support for small, medium and large-scale construction projects. Responsibilities include interaction with equipment planners and architects as necessary and adherence to Trinity Health equipment, supply and service standards. Must be able to provide logistics support such as equipment staging, placement and disposal as required
  • Inventory Management: Provides direct oversight for inventory management, par management and order fulfillment/replenishment of all major service-line areas, to include, but not limited to: Surgical Services, Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Medical/Surgical Floors, and Forms
  • Logistics and Operations:  Responsible for oversight of operational activities such as: timely and accurate shipping and receiving, put away activities, return activities.  Leads process improvement teams using LEAN, 6-Sigma, FOCUS-PDCA and other PI methods in order to streamline operations and manage an effective/efficient supply-chain. Works closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable, ensuring that procure-to-pay transactions are uninterrupted
  • Cost Management and Value Analysis: Aligns with Regional and national strategies as defined by Trinity Health Supply-Chain.  Provides internal consulting guidance to service line leaders related to expense management strategies related to supply costs, freight costs, and service costs; performing moderate and advanced cost analysis in conjunction with Saint Alphonsus and Trinity Health Supply Chain Management leadership. With support from Supply Chain Value Analysis, assist in coordinating value analysis activities including coordinating trials and evaluating new products/technologies before they become standard of care. Performs utilization and waste studies ensuring products and services are clinically effective
  • Regulatory & Environmental: Ensures vendor compliance to hospital policies, administers recall actions in collaboration with Risk Management. Ensures proper supply levels are available for thorough disaster preparedness and business continuity plans
