Are you a creative thinker with great attention to detail and analytical skills?  Someone with excellent interpersonal skills that enjoys a challenge?  If so we have a great opportunity for you.  Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance is looking to hire a Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist in Boise!  This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.  The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

As a Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist with Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance you will work in a team environment and be responsible for ensuring accurate ICD-9/10 documentation for the patient billing process.  You will be responsible for educating providers and fellow team members to accurately document and report appropriate specificity levels of chronic conditions as well as review payer data for current Gaps in Care and RAF Scores. 

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years physician coding experience in an outpatient clinic setting, either specialty or primary care, and a willingness to become a Certified Risk Coder.  This individual will be a team player that is ready to learn new skills and take on any additional responsibilities. 

                                                                                                            

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have successfully completed CPC course and applied and been accepted to the AAPC.

License/Certification:

  • Certified Risk Adjustment Coder certification within one year of hire required.
  • Must complete and maintain Certification in Procedural Coding exam within one year of hire.
  • Must maintain AAPC certification/membership.
