Manager, Clinical Informatics

General Responsibilities  

Provides leadership and direction for all clinical application resources and activities to maximize quality, efficiency, patient safety and output in a patient-care environment. 
Partners with all stakeholders (i.e. Opeartions, Quality, IT, Corporate, Vendor, End-Users, etc.) in the identification and delivery of projects/initiatives.
Leads the execution of all clinical application projects.
Leads direct reports regarding project objectives/timelines and manages direct reports to ensure targets are met.
Assumes ownership of patient-related data as a corporate resource and directs the organization in maintaining the integrity of this resource for the purposes of regulatory compliance, reporting, patient safety, quality, and reimbursement.
Leads the organization in continuous improvement of optimizing congruency among business needs, application capabilities, and end-user workflows to maintain patient-related data integrity.
Manages evaluation, selection, implementation, upgrading, and post-implementation maintenance of applications, workflow analysis and end-user training, quality auditing, and ongoing evaluation and resolution of problems that hinder optimization of outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

Education and Training:

Bachelors Degree in a Clinical area. Masters Degree in related field required.  

     1) Be highly motivated and able to perform duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision/direction and solve most problems
     2) Demonstrate a good working relationship with all levels of staff and facilitate collaboration among staff to resolve cross-departmental
         problems or issues.
     3) Possesses excellent communication skills in individual and group settings
     4) Demonstrate ability to manage multiple responsibilities/projects at once with keen attention to detail. 


At least five years of clinical experience required.  Management experience required. Teaching, electronic health record. Experience with Meditech, Athena, Aria Oncology (Varian), EPIC preferred. Experience working in a Pharmacy setting a plus.
