Farm Program Manager - Community Health

The Farm Program Manager for the Farm at St Joe's Oakland will help to shape the future of this new, innovative program.  The will be responsible for managing and expanding current community health programs such as the Farm at St Joe's Oakland, the St. Joe's Farm Share program, community events, cooking classes, and internship and volunteer coordination.

The Farm at St Joseph Mercy Hospital will be located on the west side of the SJMO campus. This new program will transform a construction site into a beautiful urban farm and garden. The 1.5 acre space is adjacent to the hospital and presents a unique opportunity to provide access to education, local fresh produce, and therapeutic gardens. There will be three distinct zones on the site: healing gardens, community gardens, and urban farm. The Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of the therapeutic spaces, creating and supporting a diverse community of gardeners, and for producing produce. There will be two hoop houses, outdoor growing spaces, ornamental gardens, and a farm stand. It is anticipated that the site will be fully constructed by 2022.
