Diagnostic Tech I - Cardiovascular Diagnostics - Full Time - Days

PAY RANGE: $14.20 - $20.01

Hours: Start times are 0600, 0630,0700, and 0730. Work every fourth weekend and holiday. May work more weekends or holiday according to staffing needs.

JOB SUMMARY

This individual is primarily responsible for the performance of ECGs, Cardiology Management System (MUSE) duties, Signal Average ECGs, Holter Monitor set-ups/scanning, and various clerical duties.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education [formal]:

High school graduate or equivalent. 

Knowledge of basic medical terminology and reading skills.

Within the first six months of employment associate will successful complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmias & Management Class.

Within one year of employment in the CV&P department the associate will be independently competent in Holter scanning. Successful complete annual cardiac rhythm assessment test

Experience: 

Demonstrated competency in telemetry or basic ECG interpretation preferred.

Special Skills and Competencies:

Neat and well groomed.

Ability to interact with people in a calm and effective manner.

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
