Coordinator Sepsis, FT80 ~ Development & Support Svs

SUMMARY Reporting to the Director, Clinical Development & Professional Practice, Nursing Service Admin, this position functions as an expert in clinical practice, educator, consultant, and program development, and coordinator and leader in the area of sepsis. This position demonstrates mastery in change management, system and patient care improvement, persuasion, and influence. The incumbent serves as a change agent by developing evidence based practice standards, assisting in the implementation of evidenced based practice, facilitating goal setting and achievement, and evaluating outcomes for septic patients. The incumbent also facilitates the bedside clinical care of sepsis to assure that all patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment interventions that are consistent with best practice recommendations. This position collaborates with all members of the healthcare team.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required.

2. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. Master's Degree in Nursing or related area is preferred.

3. Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within one year of hire into position.

4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

5. Minimum of three years' experience in an area of specialty is required.

6. Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate complex clinical and technical concepts effectively with a wide variety of individuals is required.

7. Ability to effectively identify, assess, and facilitate resolution of any conflict which may arise and to adjust project scope appropriately is required.

8. Advanced analytical skills necessary to develop sound recommendations and assist in implementing improved delivery of care systems, policies and procedures, evaluating clinical practice outcomes and developing educational programs is required.

9. Previous project management experience is preferred.
