Clinical Dietitian PRN Days

The Ontario Medical Center is now hiring for a PRN Clinical Dietitian!

As the Clinical Dietitian, you will perform nutrition assessments, develop care plans for patients, and respond to physician requests for consultations. You will also provide nutrition education for patients and staff through written materials, lectures, inservices, etc.  You will communicate as appropriate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to assure that all interventions effectively complement one another. You will also identify learning needs of clients and caregivers, provide appropriate instruction, and assist in the Peer Review/Quality Improvement process.

Work Schedule: 1 - 2 days per week, 9:00am - 5:00pm, rotating weekend coverage,and covers PTO for Lead Dietitian.

Education and License Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, focus in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition preferred.
  • Registered Dietician or RD eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.   If RD-eligible, must complete examination and certification for RD designation within 90-days of hire.
  • Oregon or Idaho RD LD licensure required for applicable state of practice.  Dual licensure preferred.
  • Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.
  • 1-2 years clinical nutrition experience preferred.
