Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Nampa PRN Days

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is a skilled technical worker who performs direct patient care activities under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent. 
  • Certification from an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. 
  • Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license from the State of Idaho within 6 months of hire. 
  • Current CPR certification required.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions and responses related to assigned duties.
  • Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients as directed by the Therapist.
  • Assist with admission screening
  • Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians and other health care professionals, as appropriate.
