Administrative Assistant- Full-time - LIFE St. Joseph of the Pines

LIFE St. Joseph of the Pines, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). PACE is a unique program which can assist elders to live safely at home or with their loved ones with the help of a team of health care professionals. PACE provides a full spectrum of health care services for frail elderly individuals certified to require nursing home care, and is centered around the belief that it is better for seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in the community wherever possible.

LIFE St. Joseph of the Pines is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant. Under the supervision of the Health Care Coordinator, the the Administrative Assistant performs administrative support duties requiring extensive knowledge of the organization, policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to represent the LIFE facility in highly professional manner.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Pleasantly and timely answers all calls and directs them with accuracy.
  • Greets and directs all visitors who enter the facility in a friendly manner.
  • Assists candidates with the application process.
  • Open and close the building for participants.
  • Act as directed in providing support and communication between Administration and other facility departments.
  • Provides coverage for center supplies as needed.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
  • Maintains daily visitor and participant log.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent. Advanced education in secretarial skills or degree is desired.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required. No Exceptions.
